The Ayia Municipality has gone ahead and made important changes to parts of the road network within the town.

Firstly, if coming towards Ayia Napa and heading towards the Police station there is now a speed bump in place as you head downhill before the Police station. Next, going towards Nissi Beach and at the junction of the road towards the motorway/Petrol station, traffic lights have been put up to help ease traffic (especially in the next few months) and make safer the crossover off Nissi Avenue towards the motorway/Petrol station in both directions for both motorists & pedestrians.

Next, on the Kryou Nerou Avenue (Hotels Avenue), the Bicycle Lane has been retarmaced and posts have been put up at various points to prevent cars blocking the path by parking/driving on it.

Finally, on Ayias Mavris Street (Town Hall Road), speed bumps have been placed both sides of the Town Hall itself. Also, a reminder, that the road is a one way road in the drection going up to the Square.

Hopefully, these are not the last of the improvements to be seen around the area and should be seen that the Mayor, Mr Antonis Tsokkos, has followed up his election campaign promises by pushing Ayia Napa forward after years of general inactivity.
