We were greeted by the manager who took us to our table. The layout of the restaurant gives diners a lot of room around their tables and also there was minimal decor around the outside part of restaurant with some Indian regional artefacts in the inner section of the restaurant.
The manager then brought us the menus which were of a nice design and easily read, with many sections of food and also a good range of beers and wines. We were then asked for our first drink, the drinks came quickly and nice and cold.
We then ordered our food
Steve ordered a Chicken Pakora, Lamb Dhansak, Pilau Rice, Roti (Handkerchief Bread) and Kolfi for dessert and Andreas ordered Prawn Patia, Lamb Bhuna, Pilau Rice, Peshwari Nan and Lemon Sorbet for dessert.
The starters came in a reasonable time as the restaurant was busy with a few very large tables of 8 or more diners.
The food was very good, the starters were light with well balanced sauces, and the chicken in the Pakora was very tender chicken breast. The main courses were excellent in taste and flavour, both dishes exactly as we had requested and very good portion sizes too.
The 2 bread accompaniments were also very good; the Peshwari Nan was excellent with a lovely sweet honey over the Nan bread. After our main course we were given hot towels to clean our hands and toothpicks.
The desserts which came were also very good in portion size and also taste.
Service was efficient and the staff polite and the positioning of the restaurant benefits from a nice cool breeze.
