Even as the Christmas Holidays approach, the Ayia Municipality is trying it's upmost not to upset local residents with necessary road works and improvements.

At the time of writing, the Nissi Avenue road is getting a new speed bumps, one in between the Municipal Parking and the Bus Stop opposite right where the junction is turning up to the Town Hall and the other at the end of Ayia Mavris where the road joins Nissi Avenue (250m further along). A very wise move considering the number of careless accidents that, took place over the previous summer season around those points.

Resurfacing continues in and about Ayia Napa on various roads which were left behind from last season. Furthermore, where the Traffic Lights (Harbour side) are people should be taking extra care as extensive works are taking place for various reasons including reconstruction of the pavement at the traffic lights.

Please whilst driving around Ayia Napa, keep these in mind and follow the road signs by not ignoring them and causing accidents at this time of year spoiling the Christmas (for those who are celebrating) and the New Years celebrations.
