March has settled in and those people having businesses in Ayia Napa are preparing to reopen them again for this year.

Despite the economic downturn around the world there is quite a lot of places freshening themselves up in anticipation for the new season. As you walk around the village, it is visible to see the anticipation existing. The biggest change you will notice is the main road in Ayia Napa from the Central Square all the way down past the traffic lights and towards the Harbour that the pavements are being reconstructed and upgraded to give a new and improved look. Hopefully, when all this is over, a total resurfacing of the road will follow.

Other than that, the other things to keep in mind (if you haven’t read the other articles previously) are the road bumps on Nissi Avenue from the Nissi Beach area all the way to the main traffic lights in the center. A total of 4 speed bumps have now been constructed at certain points where cars turn off the main road in an effort to reduce the number of needless accidents over the coming summer months.

As for the most interesting part, your services either Bars, Clubs, Restaurants etc there are a few changes which are taking place and a few premises changing names or owners. Maybe your favourite place is no longer there but what is now in place is even better than before.

So, if you are coming to Ayia Napa this summer, you'll feel like the place has been freshened up and feels new and improved. Bring on the summer.
