The municipality aim to create a product within Ayia Napa whose intent is to offer its visitors a unique experience that breeds user satisfaction. The Open Market will combine the market, monastery, traditional house and museum all into one environment.
The Open Market will have the following characteristics
- The Market will be based on tradition the official name is “market of tradition and art" (e.g wines, pottery , etc)
- Also available will be fruits, flowers and handmade products
- The market will take place every Saturday starting from December 1st
- Opening hours will be from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm
- The market will be located in Seferis Square (near the old square at the monasteries entrance)
- The market or traditional house (festival area) will host activities that will show how numerous traditional products are made such as Halloumi, Zivania and woven basket. These will alternate each week so every Saturday there will be something different on offer
- We aim to guide our visitors through the market; monastery; traditional house; ending at the museum
- The museum will be open on Open Market day (confirmation to come)

The Christmas lighting will also be switched on by the Mayor of Ayia Napa on December 1st along with several other events that will take place at the Square near the traditional house.
