More Chrismas Events
Other than the Christmas & New Years day celebrations, the Municipality is organising on Sunday 16th December, between 2pm and 6pm (14.00-18.00) along with the Parents Associations of the Ayia Napa Primary & Kindergarden schools a Christmas Celebration in the Central Square of Ayia Napa.
There will be dancing groups and also musical groups at the event and also a Christmas charity bazzar.
All are welcome.
The other event is on Sunday 6th January when the Epiphany celebrations take place early in the morning. This will take place in the Ayia Napa Church which will be followed by the baptism of the Holy Cross and the blessing of the Waters. The Cyprus Military Philharmonic Band will be at the celebration.
The Holy Cross will be thrown in to the water, and for those bold enough to dive in after it, the person bringing it up out of the water will receive a prize.
Afterwards, Traditional Cyprus dances and songs will follow at the specially set up area of the Harbour.
Again, all are welcome for those who can get up!!
