Dimitris Christofias, Ioannis Kasoulidis, Tassos Papadopoulos (the current President), Marios Matsakis, Kostas Themistokleous, Andreas Efstratiou, Costas "Outopo" Kostas, Anastasis Michail and Christodoulos Neofitou are the 9 individuals who will all be fighting it out for who to become the President of the Republic after the official submission for candidates last Friday (18th Jan.)

Only the first three are backed by political parties with the other 6 running as individals. Whoever wins whether it will be in the 1st round or the next which would take place a week later (should no candidate secure 50% of the vote, as is most likely to happen), we wish them all the best in trying to restore Cypriot tourism back to the levels they once were.
