It's not just a race, it's the opening race of the 2008 World Championship being held in Cyprus for the 1st time and hopefuly become a regular feature in the calander. The event starts early on Friday 9th with the arrival of the competitors and ends late on Sunday with a party for all the partcipants.

Further more, a boat show will also be taking place over the 3 days, starting on Friday from 4pm until 10pm & on Saturday & Sunday the show will be open from 10am until 10pm.

The full programme is as follows:

Friday 9th May:

10am - 5pm          (10.00 - 17.00) Administrive & Technical Verifications

2pm - 4pm            (14.00 -16.00) Free Practice W.E.C & W.C.

5pm - 7pm            (17.00 -19.00) Opening Ceremony with Freestyle Show

 

Saturday 10th May:

10am - 10.30am   (10.00 - 10.30) Pilots Briefing

11am - 1pm         (11.00 - 13.00) Free Practice W.E.C & W.C.

4.20pm - 4.50pm (16.20 - 16.50) Pole Position Womens European Ch. Classpro Runabout

4.50pm - 5.10pm (16.50 - 17.10) Freestyle Womens European & World Championship

5.10pm - 5.30pm (17.10 - 17.30) Pole Position World Championship Classpro Ski division

5.30pm - 6pm      (17.30 - 18.00) Pole Position World Championship Classpro Runabout

 

Sunday 11th May

11am - 1pm         (11.00 - 13.00)  Warm Up W.E.C. & W.C.

4pm - 4.30pm      (16.00 - 16.30) Grand Prix Womens European Championship Classpro Ski Division

4.30pm - 5pm      (16.30 - 17.00) Grand Prix Womens European Championship Classpro Runabout

5pm - 5.30pm      (17.00 - 17.30) Grand Prix World Championship Classpro Ski Division

5.30pm - 6pm      (17.30 - 18.00) Grand Prix World Championship Classpro Runabout

6pm - 6.30pm      (18.00 - 18.30) Grand Prix Womens European & World Championship Freestyle

6.30pm - 7pm      (18.30 - 19.00) Prize Giving Ceremony

9pm - 11pm         (21.00 - 23.00) Party for all participants

The main events as well as the Boat Show will take place at the Ayia Napa Harbour.
